David Buggie Bio

David Buggie is the owner of Adaptive Leadership and is a professional coach working with leaders, teams and organisations.  Before establishing Adaptive Leadership, he worked in a multinational company for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in leading his own teams and the organisations he has been part of.

Over the last five years David has worked alongside senior leadership teams in support of transforming their organisations in response to new challenges and opportunities.

David earned an MBA as well as postgraduate diplomas in Executive Coaching and Team Coaching and he is accredited as a senior practitioner coach.  He combines real world operational leadership know-how with a coaching led approach to change and development.

David is capable of working with large scale change involving thousands of people as well as with individual leaders and their teams.  Over his career, David has lived in Asia, the Middle East, North and South America, the UK and Germany.  This experience has given David a deep appreciation for different perspectives and ways of understanding which he applies in his work.

He believes that every person, team and organisation contains the potential to make an even greater positive impact in the world.  He is motivated by the opportunity to releasing that potential working with clients

How Adaptive leadership works

Our work involves David (and our wider team) working in person or online with a group of people that face a common challenge.  Our work with individuals and  groups helps us understand any underlying assumptions and hidden commitments at play that might be holding things back for the company’s success. Development of trust through our tested techniques ensuring success for our clients.  We maintain that there is no single formula for positive outcomes and our primary role is to enable each client organisation to find its own pathway to success.

Adaptive Leadership draws upon techniques including dialogue, complexity, action learning, leadership and coaching.  Our style is engaging, curious, fun and when needed challenging in service of our client’s needs. We have both the experience and training capacity to understand and clearly communicate the ingredients for high performing teams and the conditions for good leadership.
